One of the most common questions I hear from organisers is a simple one: “What does a slackline show cost?” And often, right behind it, a quiet thought: isn’t that quite a lot for just a few minutes?
That’s a fair question, and I’m happy to answer it honestly. Because there’s far more behind the price than you see at first glance.
Why a show can seem expensive at first
A classic trickline show often lasts only five to ten minutes. Measured purely by stage time, the price can quickly look high. And that’s exactly what many people underestimate: you’re not paying for the ten minutes on stage, but for everything that makes those ten minutes possible.
What’s really in the price: years of training
I started slacklining in 2012 and have trained three to four times a week ever since, sometimes considerably more. Every jump, every flip, every clean landing is the result of thousands of repetitions over many years.
On top of that comes a factor people rarely talk about: risk. Every trick carries the possibility of an injury that, in the worst case, could end an entire career. I carry that responsibility into every performance, for a result that has to look flawless in the decisive moment.
So when I step onto the line, it isn’t ten minutes. It’s more than ten years of preparation, made visible in that single moment.
A live act that truly connects
There’s a reason a live act is something special: the audience can feel that something real is happening right now, in this very instant, with no safety net. That tension, that focus, that moment when the whole room holds its breath: it connects people on a deeper, emotional level that a video or a decoration can never reach.
That feeling is exactly what your guests will remember.
What affects the price
There’s no flat rate, and that’s a good thing, because every event is different. The price mainly depends on:
- Format: a single show or a duo show with a second athlete
- Effort: whether an additional setup and/or rehearsal day is needed
- Travel costs: depending on the location and journey
- Duration and equipment for your specific setting
That’s why I only quote concrete figures after a short conversation, so the offer genuinely fits your event and contains nothing you don’t need.
Why it’s often cheaper than you’d think
Something many people aren’t aware of: I work without an agency and without a manager. That means there are no booking commissions or mark-ups that are automatically added to many competing offers. That advantage goes straight to you: it makes my show often more affordable than comparable options.
The first step is free
A no-obligation quote costs nothing. Just tell me a little about your event, and I’ll get back to you promptly with a transparent, individual proposal.
