On 5 July 2026, the world’s best trickliners come to Munich: the Trickline World Cup takes place at Königsplatz, right inside the programme of the Munich Sports Festival. Together with Filip Oleksik and supported by Gibbon Slacklines, I’m organizing this competition – and I couldn’t be more excited to bring top-level international athletics into such an impressive setting.

Tricklining is the most dynamic discipline in slacklining: flips, spins, combinations and high-adrenaline tricks, all on a band just 5 cm wide. In front of an audience it creates something you have to see to believe.

The format

Judging follows the Trickline Judging System (TJS), run by an international jury under International Slackline Association standards. Here’s how the day runs:

  • Morning: qualification rounds. All athletes compete to determine the rankings and advance to the next stage.
  • Afternoon: knockout rounds and the grand finale – one-on-one battles right in front of the crowd.

Prize money

The Trickline World Cup Munich has a total prize pool of €3,500, split equally between women and men:

  • Trickline Men: 1st €1,000, 2nd €500, 3rd €250
  • Trickline Women: 1st €1,000, 2nd €500, 3rd €250

Registration & logistics for athletes

Registration runs through the form on the official event page: Trickline World Cup registration. Each event has its own form – so if you’re also competing at the Gibbon Games in Stuttgart, sign up for both separately.

Handy for anyone doing both events: there’s a planned free shuttle for athletes from Stuttgart to Munich on Sunday, 5 July – leaving in the morning, returning in the evening. Shuttle seats can be selected directly in the Trickline World Cup registration form.

If you haven’t joined in Stuttgart yet, you’ll find all the details in my post about the Gibbon Games 2026 in Stuttgart.

Why Munich, why this event

A Trickline World Cup in the middle of the city, on a square like Königsplatz, is a rare opportunity – for the athletes, for the audience and for the sport. As a professional slackliner, I know how much preparation and training sits behind every single competition run. That’s exactly why it matters to me to build a stage with Filip where that performance becomes visible.

For event organizers, agencies and cities, a format like this shows how well slacklining fits as a highlight within a larger programme. If you’re looking for a slackline act or a complete competition format for your event, you’ll find my show formats here – or just reach out via the contact page.

See you on 5 July at Königsplatz.
